Brian Finnegan
Brian Finnegan has been a long-time coach in the Netherlands. His son Aidan Finnegan has played in the Hoofdklasse.
After college, he was a player-coach in 1984 for Run '71, a team in the Dutch minors and he held a similar role with De Volewijckers in 1985. He coached for Badhoevedorp in the early 1990s. He was head coach of the Amsterdam Pirates in 2002 (19-25) and 2003 (14-28). He was replaced by Paul Nanne. He remained with Amsterdam to coach their youth teams and in the minors, a role he held through 2018. He returned as head coach of the main club for 2019 after Charles Urbanus Jr. stepped down. He said he would only be in charge for a year; he led them to the 2019 Holland Series title then was succeeded by Mike Duursma.
