Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Brenden Webb played professionally from 2009 to 2018, though he spent only 17 games at Double-A and never reached Triple-A. He was taken by the Baltimore Orioles in the 30th round of the 2009 amateur draft, a few picks after catcher Brandon Bantz. He was signed by scout Mark Ralston.

Webb hit no better than .227 in any of his first three seasons, though his second campaign contained a notable anomaly: Though he had just 5 doubles, he led the Appalachian League with 8 triples. He was also second in the league in walks with 32, behind Romulo Ruiz's 34. In 2012, he managed a career-high .255 in 124 games between the Frederick Keys and Delmarva Shorebirds. It was a career year, as he also had a .415 on-base percentage and .465 slugging percentage, adding 14 home runs, 29 doubles, 19 steals and 98 walks to his ledger. Eighty-seven of his walks came with Delmarva, which were second in the South Atlantic League, behind Matt Skole's 94. He was a MiLB.com Organization All-Star that year. He returned to the Mendoza Line following the season, never hitting higher than .240 in any succeeding campaign.

He showed solid speed through his career, swiping double digit bases five times, with a career high of 21 for the independent Aigles de Trois-Rivières in 2017. He had double digit homers thrice, peaking at 14 in 2012.

He spent his final season, 2018, entirely as a pitcher, making 4 appearances for Trois-Rivières and posting a 9.95 ERA.

He also spent a couple years with the Perth Heat of the Australian Baseball League.

In the affiliated minors, Webb hit .227/.339/.370 with 51 homers, 238 RBI and 72 steals in 624 games over 8 seasons. At all levels, he hit .223/.341/.379 with 82 home runs, 329 RBI and 112 stolen bases in 828 games over 10 seasons.
