Biographical Information[edit]
Bob Stumpo played in the Philadelphia Phillies organization from 2010 to 2013 after having been selected in the 33rd round of the 2010 amateur draft. He was a back-up catcher in the minors.
After his playing career, he became a bullpen catcher for the Phillies, teaming up with Greg Brodzinski. In 2021, both of them were promoted to the coaching staff with the title of catching coach. Brodzinsli left after that season, leaving Stumpo in sole position of the two titles in 2022. He was replaced by two new bullpen catchers in 2023, Brad Flanders and Hector Rabago, while no one was named catching coach.
