Biographical Information[edit]
Catcher Greg Brodzinski was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 18th round of the 2015 amateur draft. He appeared in 21 minor league games in 2015 and 1 game in 2016.
Brodzinski was a player/coach with the Reading Fightin Phils in 2017. He started 2018 as a coach with the Williamsport Crosscutters before coaching in Reading for most of the season. He spent 2019 as a coach for the Crosscutters.
The Phillies promoted Brodzinski to the major league staff in 2020 where he served as a bullpen catcher and catching coach. He repeated these roles in 2021. Brodzinski returned to the minors in 2022 as the Lehigh Valley IronPigs bench coach. Brodzinski moved into a managing role with the Jersey Shore BlueClaws in 2023. He led Jersey Shore to the postseason as the South Atlantic League Northern Division Second Half Champions, their first playoff appearance since 2018. In his second season as BlueClaws manager, Brodzinski was the SAL Manager of the Year. Following the season he temporarily moved west and coached the Glendale Desert Dogs in the Arizona Fall League. Brodzinski returned for a third season managing the BlueClaws in 2025.
