Biographical Information[edit]
Hector Rabado played in the minor leagues from 2009 to 2013, principally as a catcher but also seeing some action at third base and second base. All five seasons were in the New York Yankees organization, and he topped out in the Florida State League where he played three seasons with the Tampa Yankees. The Yankees had drafted him in the 18th round of the 2009 amateur draft, out of the University of Southern California.
After his playing career, he became a coach. In 2024, in addition to his duties as bullpen catcher for the Philadelphia Phillies, he was also given the title of "Assistant Catching Coach".
