Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Blake McGinley was drafted in the 34th round of the 1997 amateur draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers and the 50th round of the 1998 amateur draft by the Dodgers again. He was drafted a third time in the 2001 amateur draft, this time by the New York Mets in the 21st round. He was signed by scout Dave Lottsfeldt and pitched in the Mets' chain from 2001 to 2006 and in the Florida Marlins' chain in 2007. He reached AAA in parts of 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007.

In 2010 McGinley was an instructor at Dallas Bat, a training facility in Frisco, TX. McGinley was the pitching coach of the Jamestown Jammers in 2011 and the Greensboro Grasshoppers in 2012-2013.
