Biographical Information

Benjamin Sarmiento has been on the Philippines national team.

Sarmiento represented The Philippines in the 2022 Asian Games (which were held in 2023 after delays). He debuted against Japan, and Yuki Katayama retired him after he pinch-hit for Adriane Ros Bernardo in the 7th inning. Sarmiento was then struck out by Ningji Li of China in the 9th inning as a pinch-hitter, and he went 0-for-3 against Laos. He hit for Bernardo again versus Thailand, and Suppakorn Lin retired him.
