Biographical Information[edit]
Benjamín Salas was 3 for 7 with two runs for the Chilean national team in the 2016 South American Championship. His brother Thomas Salas was also on the team. In the 2018 South American Championship, he backed up James Sommerville at 1B and Oscar Rojas and Felipe Rubio at catcher. He went 1 for 3 with a run and a RBI for the Bronze Medalists. His hit came off Bolivia's Marco Davalos, driving in Cristobal Hiche; he came home on a double by Daniel Catalan.
