Biographical Information[edit]
Art Stewart has been a scout and executive.
Stewart was a New York Yankees scout from 1953-1968 then joined the Kansas City Royals organization in 1969. He was a scout, Assistant to the General Manager (1997 through at least 2012) and Scouting Director. He signed Kevin Appier, Brian McRae, Carlos Beltran, Johnny Damon, Joe Randa, Kevin Koslofski and Mike Sweeney. He also scouted Kevin Seitzer and Gary Thurman. He was inducted into the Kansas City Royals Hall of Fame in 2008 and was then longest-tenured member of the organization at the time of his death in 2021.
