Biographical Information

Kevin Koslofski played four seasons in the majors.

Koslofski was signed by the Kansas City Royals and scout Art Stewart as a 20th round draft pick out of high school in the 1984 amateur draft. Just two spots prior, another high schooler was drafted named Jack McDowell. McDowell elected to go to college and would three years later be a first-round pick.

Koslofski hit .324 with the Memphis Chicks in 1991 and .311 with the Omaha Royals in 1992. He came to the majors with Kansas City that year after playing nine seasons of minor league baseball. At the time, Kevin was the fifth outfielder on the Royals. In his first game, Kevin batted lead-off and managed to go 3 for 5. It was prior to expansion and his .248 batting average was not far from the team average of .256. He was fourteen years younger than teammate George Brett. The first home run of his career came against Nolan Ryan.

Koslofski attended Millikin University in the offseasons and received his degree in 1995.
