Biographical Information[edit]
Anthony Buonaiuto has played in Germany, Italy and Canada and for the British national team.
A Canadian native, he came to the US for college. [1] He played and coached for the Bad Homburg Hornets in the German minors in 2018. He led the Bundesliga-2 southwest in average and slugging, making numerous other leaderboards. [2] He hit .475/.571/.675 for Catalina in the Italian minors in '19. [3] In the 2019 World Port Tournament, he batted .174/.167/.217 with four RBI (8th-most) in six games for team North America. [4]
Returning to Germany in 2021, he produced at a .333/.408/.548 rate for the Berlin Flamingos. [5] He played in Canada's Intercounty Baseball League in 2022-2023. [6] In the 2023 European Championship, he made one appearance for Great Britain. He batted for Mariners prospect Harry Ford in a 22-3 rout of Hungary and was plunked by Carlos Rubio, coming around to score. Staying in at DH, he was retired by Bence Takács his other time up. [7]
