Biographical Information[edit]
Andy Gilbert began managing in the New York Giants organization in 1950 and stayed with the Giants until 1980. He was also a coach for Giants from 1972 to 1975. In 1981, he started a two-year stint with the Savannah Braves in the Atlanta Braves system. Overall his teams posted a 2,009-1,899 record in 29 seasons between 1950-1982.
