Biographical Information[edit]
Andrés Cavadía was a star outfielder for the Colombian national team. He played for them in the 1944 Amateur World Series, 1946 Central American and Caribbean Games (their first Gold in baseball in an international event), 1947 Bolivarian Games (their first baseball Gold in the Bolivarian Games) and 1947 Amateur World Series (their first world title). His five triples in the 1954-1955 Colombian League were a record; no Colombian player topped that mark as of 2020.
