Biographical Information[edit]
Alfredo de Guzmán has played for the Philippines national team.
In the 2017 Asian Championship, he split catching with Dino Altomonte and Mark Manaig, going 1-for-3 with a walk, run and a RBI while handling six chances error-free. His hit, walk, run and RBI were all versus South Korea. [1] With Manaig behind the dish in the 2019 Asian Championship, he got into one game at DH, replacing Iggy Escano late in a win over Hong Kong and singling (off Chung-Hei Leung) his lone trip up. [2] He was with them when they swept their way to Gold in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games. [3]
Alfredo was 2 for 3 with 3 runs and two RBI when the Philippines won the 2023 East Asian Baseball Cup to win a spot in the 2023 Asian Championship. [4] He was then on the Filipino roster for the 2023 Asian Games prior to the 2023 Asian Championship. [5]
