Biographical Information[edit]
Alfredo Molina was one of the first Ecuadorians to play in the minors. He spent three years in the Los Angeles Dodgers chain. He hit .354/.543/.396 for the 1994 DSL Dodgers I and would have been 5th in the Dominican Summer League in average had he qualified. He fielded .948, playing 2B primarily. He slumped to .216 with the 1995 DSL Dodgers II and .200 with the '96 DSL Dodgers II. He played for the 2001 Springfield Capitals (.267/.376/.317 in 39 G) and Canton Crocodiles (2 for 5, 2B). He fielded .950 at SS between the two teams and saw a little action at 2B and 3B as well. He was on the Ecuadorian national team that played in the 2001 Bolivarian Games and that won the Bronze Medal in the 2004 South American Championship. He later scouted for the Atlanta Braves in Ecuador.
