Biographical Information[edit]

Adari Grant has played in the minors and for the Bahamas national team.

Grant was the first amateur international free agent signed by the St. Louis Cardinals out of the Bahamas. [1] The Cards had Adrian Rodgers in their system decades earlier, but he had begun his career in the New York Giants system. Grant hit .220/.326/.305 for the 2021 DSL Cardinals Blue, scoring 27 runs in 43 games while playing second and short. In 2022, he batted .206/.348/.247 for the FCL Cardinals.

When the Bahamas hosted the 2022 Caribbean Baseball Cup, Grant made the team as the starting second baseman. Hitting 7th in their opener against the US Virgin Islands, he faced Toshawn Drew his first time up and flew into an error. He singled off Drew the next time up and finished the Cup at .273/.320/.318 with two runs and four RBI in six games, fielding .963. He led the Bahamas in RBI and only D'Shawn Knowles had more hits than him. He tied for 10th in the Cup in hits and tied for 6th in RBI with Taj Bates, Miguel Egea, Dudley Leonora and Luis Mateo. He was also 4th with 16 assists, between Santiago Torres and Dwayne Maduro, tying for 9th with 3 double plays turned. He was named as the event's All-Star second baseman. He was the only player from the Bahamas so honored and the first player from the Bahamas to be named to a Caribbean Baseball Cup All-Star team. [2]
