Biographical Information[edit]

Adam Clerici pitched in the minors.

In 2009, he was 6-5 with a 4.73 ERA for Newman University despite 38 walks in 72 1/3 IP. Undrafted, he signed with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. He went 2-1 with a 3.70 ERA in 16 games that summer for the Orem Owlz, striking out 23 in 24 1/3 innings. He struggled with the 2010 AZL Angels (10 H, 5 R in 3 1/3 IP) and was released. For 2012, he signed with Unipol Bologna, taking advantage of his Italian passport; they loaned him in turn to Cariparma Parma, which was missing injured hurler Marco Grifantini. He debuted on March 30 against Bologna, relieving Mihai Burlea with a 3-3 tie in the 7th inning. He retired Daniele Malengo, the first batter he faced in Italy, and tossed a scoreless 7th. In the 8th, though, he allowed singles to Gabriele Ermini and Claudio Liverziani then a sacrifice fly to G.G. Sato, saddling himself with the 4-3 loss.
