Daniele Malengo has played in the Italian Baseball League.

Malengo went 5 for 24 with a walk, double, two steals and two errors as the third baseman for Italy in the 2007 European Junior Championship. He was 0 for 3 with a RBI in the Gold Medal game, when they beat Russia. In 2009, he debuted in the Italian Baseball League, hitting .244/.305/.277 for Godo. He moved to Fortitudo Bologna in 2010 and hit .202/.295/.248 with 34 strikeouts in 129 at-bats. He fielded .909 in right field (his main position) and .987 at first base (his secondary spot). In the 2010 European Cup, he was 6 for 24 with a double, steal and two walks. In the finale, when Bologna beat Germany's Heidenheim Heidekoepfe team for the title, he was 1 for 5 with two whiffs while hitting second and playing first base. In the 2010 Italian Series, he was just 3 for 23 with four walks.

Malengo was 3 for 15 with a triple, two walks, three hit-by-pitches and a steal in the 2011 European Cup's Amsterdam phase.
