Biographical Information

Abril Amaro debuted for the Venezuelan women's national team in group play of the 2023-2024 Women's Baseball World Cup, facing defending champion Japan in a tough assignment, squaring off against Akino Tanaka. She retired her first batter, Miwa Tanaka, then Iori Miura, Yuki Kawabata and Miwa Naraoka all reached but she escaped that frame without a run. Her first strikeout was of Tamaki Muramatsu. She went the distance in a close battle, losing 5-4 to Ayami Sato; she gave up 11 hits, 4 walks and 5 runs (all earned) while striking out two. She was 8th in Group B in hits allowed, between Leonie Pauthe and Ambre Brouard.
