2021 Postseason
Recap[edit]
After the special format adopted for the 2020 Postseason, the 2021 Postseason marked a return to normal, with the three winners of a division title in each league being joined by two wild card teams who faced off in a Wild Card Game before the start of the Division Series, followed by the League Championship Series and the World Series. There were no neutral site games either, and spectators were present at all venues. That said, it was well understood that this might well be the final season using this particular format, as the issue of postseason expansion would be on the table during negotiations to reach a new Collective Bargaining Agreement after the World Series.
