2018 Pacific League Rookie of the Year Award

The 2018 Pacific League Rookie of the Year Award was a much closer vote than the prior year. The winner, Rakuten Golden Eagles outfielder Kazuki Tanaka (.265/.323/.423, 18 HR, 21 SB) got 112 of 258 valid votes, while Yoshinobu Yamamoto of the Orix BlueWave drew 70 and the Softbank Hawks' Ren Kajiya had 45. Yudai Fujioka of the Chiba Lotte Marines drew 17 votes, while also getting votes were Kotaro Kiyomiya of the Nippon Ham Fighters (2), the Seibu Lions' Tatsuya Imai (1), Softbank's Yurisbel Gracial (1) and Orix's Daiki Tajima (1). Nine voters did not pick anyone.
