The 2018 Latin American Series was played from January 26 to January 31 in Managua, Nicaragua. Games were played at the Estadio Nacional Dennis Martínez.

For the first time since the competition began no team from the Colombian Professional Baseball League took part. Colombian champions Leones de Montería boycotted the event due to a dispute over missing prize money from their 2015 title. Their place in the series was awarded to the Curaçao Winter League.
