Latin American Series
The Latin American Series, or Serie Latinoamericana, is an annual baseball competition founded in 2013. Participants include the champions of the various winter leagues recognized by the Latin American Professional Baseball Association. As such, it is a lesser version of the Caribbean Series. At present, represented leagues are the Colombian Professional Baseball League, Veracruz League (Mexico), Nicaraguan Professional Baseball League and Panamanian Professional Baseball League. The Curaçao Winter League entered for the first time in 2018; 2019 invitees included the Argentine Baseball League and Organized Baseball League of Chile, although the Chilian team never took part.
