2013 International League season
The 2013 International League season was the 127th in the league's history, and ended with the Durham Bulls beating the Pawtucket Red Sox to win the Governors' Cup. Durham had the best record in the league, leading the South Division by going 87-57. Pawtucket led the North Division with a 80-63 record and the Indianapolis Indians led the West Division with a 80-64 record. The Gwinnett Braves were the worst club in the league, going 60-84 and finishing 27 games back in the South Division. In the postseason semifinals, Durham beat Indianapolis 3-0 and Pawtucket beat the Rochester Red Wings (77-67 in the regular season) 3-2. Durham beat Pawtucket 3-1 in the finals.
Matt Hague led the league in games played (142), plate appearances (622), at-bats (536) and hits (153). He tied Nick Castellanos for the league lead in doubles (37). Castellanos also led the league in runs (81). César Hernández paced the loop in triples (9). Mauro Gómez and Zach Walters tied for the lead in home runs (29). Walters also led the league in total bases (252). Ernesto Mejia led in RBI (83) and strikeouts (152). Billy Hamilton led in stolen bases (75) and times caught stealing (15). Dan Johnson had the most walks (96). Chris Colabello had the highest average (.352), on-base percentage (.427), slugging percentage (.639) and OPS (1.066) among those with 300-plus plate appearances.
J.D. Martin led the league in victories (16). Martin tied Greg Reynolds for highest winning percentage among pitchers with 150-plus innings pitched (.800). Reynolds also had the best ERA (2.42) and WHIP (1.055) among those with 150-plus innings and the most shutouts (3) among all pitchers; he also tied Andrew Albers, Andre Rienzo, Vance Worley and Steven Wright for most complete games (3). Daniel Corcino, Shawn Hill and Zach Stewart tied for the most losses (14). Daniel Rosenbaum and Stewart tied for the most starts (28). Stewart also led in innings pitched (167 1/3). Hill also led in hits allowed (191), runs allowed (105) and earned runs allowed (92). Tyler Cloyd allowed the most home runs (21). Andy Oliver led in strikeouts (138) and walked the most batters (112). Wirfin Obispo made the most appearances (54). Jairo Asencio and Anthony Carter tied for the most games finished (40), while Asenscio led in saves (28).
