1989 Southern Conference Tournament
The 1989 Southern Conference baseball tournament was held at McCormick Park in Asheville, NC. #1 Western Carolina University defeated #2 Marshall University for the title.

Heavy rains forced the cancellation of games five through eight of the tournament. A playoff was held at Montreat, NC between Appalachian State, Marshall and Western Carolina to determine the league’s automatic qualifier in the NCAA tournament.
