Coaches: Jimmie Dykes, Tom Ferrick and Frank McCormick
History, Comments, Contributions[edit]
The 1957 Cincinnati Redlegs won 15 straight road games between April 22 and May 27th (they had two long stretches of home games in the interim). They were in 8th and last place in the National League when the streak started, but attained a tie for first on May 11th and were two games up when the streak ended, with a record of 25-12. However, they were unable to maintain that torrid pace and soon fell to fourth place, where they ended the season, 15 games behind the pennant-winning Milwaukee Braves. The streak was the longest in the National League until matched by the 2013 Los Angeles Dodgers.
