The 1937 East-West Game was the fifth East-West Game. Played on August 8, 1937, it was held in Chicago, IL. The game was a rout by the East for the second straight year as they cruised to a 7-2 victory, had 12 hits to the West's 5 and 5 walks to the West's 2. The West made 4 errors while the East made just one.

The East was led by CF Wild Bill Wright (3 for 5, 2B, 2 R, 2 RBI, SB), 1B Buck Leonard (2 for 4, HR, 2 R, BB, 2 RBI) and 3B Ray Dandridge (2 for 5, R, SB). The only positions players to put up oh-fers in 3 or more at-bats were 2B Chet Williams and C Pepper Bassett. Leon Day led the staff with 3 shutout innings of one-hit ball, fanning four. Day also doubled in his lone at-bat and scored a run. Starter Barney Morris (1 R in 3 IP) got the win.

For the West, 1B Ted Strong (2 for 4, HR, R, 2 RBI) led the offense but made two errors. Among the hitless West players were future Hall-of-Famers CF Turkey Stearnes (0 for 4) and LF Willard Brown (0 for 2), their #4 and #5 hitters. Hilton Smith allowed 2 runs while retiring none and took the loss.

Top vote-getters were Strong (50,636), OF Jerry Benjamin (43,436), SS-2B Chet Williams (43,250), C Bassett (41,463) and 2B Sammy T. Hughes (32,467).
