Biographical Information[edit]

Zachary Cole played in the Baltimore Orioles chain in 2007 and in independent baseball in 2008 and 2010.

Undrafted, Cole signed with the Orioles. He walked 11 and allowed ten runs in 12 1/3 innings for the 2007 GCL Orioles.

Moving to the independent leagues, Zachary gave up seven runs and walked nine in 5 1/3 IP for the 2008 Traverse City Beach Bums in the Frontier League.

Cole missed 2009 with an injury, then began 2010 with the Amarillo Dillas in the United Baseball League. He had no record there with a 6.38 ERA in 9 appearances.

Zachary was signed by the Normal CornBelters on July 18, 2010. Cole debuted for the CornBelters against the River City Rascals on July 24th. He pitched 3 2/3 innings giving up 6 hits and 2 earned runs, struck out 3 and walked 2. Zachary finished the 2010 season with no record and no saves in 8 2/3 innings of work in 4 games. He struck out 4 and walked 3.
