Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Yung-Chuan Huang played in the CPBL.

Huang represented Taiwan in the 2022 U-18 Baseball World Cup, going 3-for-15 with a triple and 3 RBI in 7 games and handling 19 chances error-free for the Silver Medalists. The Uni-President Lions drafted him in the first round of the 2022 CPBL Draft, and he hit .281/.374/.407 in the CPBL minor league in 2023. He debuted on May 5, and he collected his first hit against Bryan Woodall on May 9. Huang ended up hitting .234/.314/.262 with the big club in 2023, and he was on the Lions' roster of the 2023 CPBL Playoff Series. He was 1-for-5 in the series, and he became the youngest player to get a hit in the postseason. The Rakuten Monkeys still beat the Lions in 3 games. As their starting second baseman, Huang hit .381/.423/.476 in the first 7 games in 2024. However, the Lions announced that they released Huang for breaching the team's code of conduct, and his professional career ended.

Overall, Huang hit .258/.333/.297 with 28 hits in 2 seasons in the CPBL.
