Biographical Information

Yu-Yu Fan pitched in the CPBL for 8 years. His cousins Chia-Sheng Yang and Ruei-Cheng Yang also played in the CPBL.

Fan was drafted by the EDA Rhinos in the first round of the 2013 CPBL Draft, and he spent his first two seasons in the CPBL minor leagues. He still struggled in the next four seasons, and his ERA was higher then 10 in every seasons. He led the minor league in losses twice (2016 and 2017). Fan then pitched 29 games with the big club in 2019, but his ERA was 5.12. He had a terrible 13.00 ERA in 19 games in 2020, and he only pitched 12 games combined in the next three seasons. Fan mainly stayed in the minor league, and he led the minor league in wins in 2021 and 2022. He announced his retirement in 2023.

Overall, Fan was 6-3 with a 7.99 ERA, struck out 80 and pitched 119 1/3 innings in 8 seasons in the CPBL. He was the career leader of the CPBL minor league in wins, losses, starts, hits, homers and strikeouts as of 2023.
