Biographical Information

Yu-Bin Chen was a long-time manager in Taiwan.

Chen played for the Military baseball team from 1979 to 1980. He managed the Chinese Taipei national baseball team in the 1987 World Junior Championship and 1990 World Youth Championship. When the Mercuries Tigers were founded in 1990, Chen became one of their coaches, a role he held from 1990 to 1992. He was named their manager in 1993, and he managed them from 1993 to 1994 and from 1997 to 1999. Chen worked as batting coach from 1995 to 1996. He was 145-170 as a manager in 5 seasons in the CPBL. Chen passed away due to a car accident in 2002.
