Biographical Information

Yoo-seom Han has been an outfielder in the Korea Baseball Organization.

Han played for the South Korean national team in the 2011 Baseball World Cup. He went 1 for 11 with three walks, two runs and five strikeouts as a backup outfielder, getting his lone hit off Eliecer Navarro. He handled 8 chances without an error. The SK Wyverns took him in the 9th round of the 2012 draft. He went 2 for 7 for SK in 2012. In 2013, he hit .263/.343/.477 with 14 homers in 285 at-bats, showing some promise now. He slipped to .252/.323/.427 in 67 games in 2014. He was with the Sangmu Phoenix military team in 2015. He returned to SK late in 2016 and hit .278/.350/.278 in six games.

Han became a key contributor to SK in 2017, hitting .294/.396/.614 with 29 home runs and 73 RBI in 103 games. He was 8th in the league in home runs despite missing the last month and a half with an ankle injury. Had he qualified, he would have been 3rd in slugging after Jeong Choi and Wilin Rosario. In 2018, he stayed healthy and produced at a .284/.367/.601 clip with 31 doubles, 41 dingers, 97 runs and 115 RBI in 136 games. He was 5th in the league in homers, 6th in RBI (between Chi-hong An and Mel Rojas Jr.) and 4th in slugging (between Darin Ruf and Jamie Romak). He just missed the top 10 in runs (by 3) and OPS (10 behind Rojas). He was 4 for 21 in the 2018 Korean Series but with two homers, including the Series-winner in the 13th inning of Game 6, taking the Doosan Bears' Hee-kwan Yoo deep. That won him Series MVP honors.
