Biographical Information[edit]

Yong-muk Won played in the Korea Baseball Organization for 8 years.

Won was signed by the Doosan Bears in 2005, and he had a 8.59 ERA in 17 appearances in 2006. He pitched 11 1/3 innings with a 1.59 ERA in 2007, then he mainly stayed in the minors in the next two years. His ERA was 4.91 in 9 relief outings in 2010, and he represented South Korea in the 2010 Intercontinental Cup. He made one appearance, relieving Chi-young Lim in the 3rd inning against Hong Kong and allowing three hits and two runs in one inning before Kang-ryul Kim came in. Won missed the next two seasons due to the military service, and he only pitched one more game for the big club until the Bears released him in 2014. The SK Wyverns then signed him, but he was placed in the minors before he announced his retirement in 2016.

Overall, Won was 0-0 with a 5.01 ERA and struck out 21 in 32 1/3 innings in 6 seasons in the KBO.
