Yoanys Quiala pitched in Cuba, the USA, Venezuela, Mexico, Taiwan and Puerto Rico.

Quiala began his career with Holguín, going 3-2 with a 2.22 ERA in the 2012-2013 Serie Nacional. He then defected and signed with the Houston Astros. He went 2-0 with a 1.54 ERA for the DSL Astros Blue in 2015. He was 2-12 with a 5.10 ERA for the Quad Cities River Bandits in 2016, tying Shao-Ching Chiang and Casey Shane for second in the Midwest League in losses and leading the Astros farm system (two ahead of Mike Hauschild). He went 5-1 with a 2.31 ERA for the Buies Creek Astros and 4-4 with a 2.86 ERA for the Corpus Christi Hooks in 2017. He tied Trent Thornton for the 4th-most wins by a Houston farmhand that summer. He pitched for the Leones del Caracas in Venezuela in the winter, but his ERA was 7.45 in 4 games.

Staying with the Hooks in 2018, Quiala had a 6-5 record in 13 games, but his ERA was 5.97. He tested positive in a drug test on June 22, and he was suspended for 80 games. Quiala then played in Mexico in the winter, and he went 3-5 with a 4.37 ERA for the Caneros de Los Mochis. He was released after the 2018 season, and the San Francisco Giants signed him with a minor league contract. Quiala was 6-8 with a 6.68 ERA for the Sacramento River Cats in 2019, then he became a free agent once again. He went 9-2 with a 2.57 ERA for the Caneros in the winter, and he led the Mexican Pacific Winter League in wins. He also appeared in the 2020 Caribbean Series, beating Jose Mesa Jr. and the Astronautas de Chiriquí, allowing one run in seven innings.

Quiala signed with the Fubon Guardians in 2020, and he went 0-1 with a 2.76 ERA. He then underwent Tommy John surgery, and he missed most of the 2021 and 2022 seasons. Quiala allowed 14 runs in 6 1/3 innings for the Algodoneros de Unión Laguna in 2023, and he also had a 1-4, 6.81 record in 9 games for the Sultanes de Monterrey that winter.
