Biographical Information[edit]
Yi Lu debuted in the China Baseball League with the 2006 Jiangsu Hopestars. He made his Chinese national team debut in the 2013 East Asian Games. He was also with them for the 2014 Asian Games, starting at short and being one of the team's top hitters. He hit .357/.400/.571 with four runs and four RBI in five games while handling 12 chances error-free at shortstop. He was second on the team in runs (one behind Xiaolei Du) and RBI (one behind Shunyi Yang) and was second among the starters in average (.043 behind Wei Wang) and slugging (.029 behind Wang).
Moving to the outfield for the 2015 Asian Championship, he struggled as China's main right fielder. He was 1 for 15 with three strikeouts, a run and a RBI while handling 12 putouts. He had the lowest average of any Chinese regular.
