Biographical Information[edit]
Yeon-soo Lee played in the Korea Baseball Organization for 11 years.
Lee was signed by the Chungbo Pintos in 1987, but he was 1-for-21 in that season. The Pintos released him, and he went to the Pacific Dolfins. Lee was 8-for-36 in 1988, then he missed the next two seasons due to military service. The Ssangbangwool Raiders signed him in 1991, and he was 8-for-36 in the '91 season. He hit .256/.351/.354 in 85 games in 1992, and his batting line was .244/.320/.322 in 1993. Lee slumped to .159/.240/.182 in 1994, so he lost his starting outfielder spot. He was 8-for-35 in 1995, then he announced his retirement. He was the bench coach of the Raiders until they dissolved in 1999, and he became the coach of Sungkyunkwan University in 2001. He managed the South Korea national baseball team in 2012 Asian Championship, and he coached them in 2003 Baseball World Cup, 2006 Intercontinental Cup, 2009 Asian Championship and 2010 World University Championship.
Overall, Lee hit .234/.318/.317 with 153 hits and 11 homers in 9 seasons in the KBO.
