Biographical Information[edit]

Yao-Wen Kuo pitched in the CPBL for 4 years.

Kuo was signed by the Sinon Bulls in 2000, and he had a 7.71 ERA in 5 games in his rookie year. He had a 5.93 ERA in 10 games in 2001, then he improved to a 4.56 ERA in 14 games in 2002. However, Kuo suffered a severe left shoulder injury in 2003, and his professional career ended.

Kuo's repertoire included a fastball, changeup and slider.

Overall, Kuo was 0-0 with a 5.00 ERA, pitched 54 innings and struck out 34 in 4 seasons in the CPBL. His 54 innings pitched were the most for a pitcher who didn’t get a decision in the CPBL.
