Biographical Information[edit]
Yana Gerhana has played for the Indonesian national team.
Gerhana hit .333/.429/.417 in the 2018 East Asian Baseball Cup, fielding .929. He led the team with four runs (in their four games). At the 2018 Asian Games, he started at 2B for Indonesia. He was the first player ever to bat for Indonesia in an Asian Games, striking out against Chi-Kam Kenneth Chiu against Hong Kong; Bachtiar Sanjaya replaced him later that game. He finished the Games 0 for 8 with two walks, fielding .909. In Indonesia's first win ever in the Asian Games in baseball, he got his two walks. Hitting 9th, he reached in the 2nd against Kevin Kawin Irwin on an error by Chayaphat Suanthong, then he stole second and scored on a hit by Albefiandi Aiken Setiawan. He drew walks from Irwin and Chanatip Thongbai later in the 12-11 victory.
