Biographical Information[edit]

Kevin Kawin Irwin has pitched for the Thai national team.

In the 2016 Asian U-18 Championship, he beat Indonesia. He had a 4.50 ERA and one save in the 2018 East Asian Baseball Cup. At the 2018 Asian Games, he pinch-hit for John Daru late in a rout of Laos and struck out against Soua Xong. He started against Sri Lanka in the last game of the first round, with a spot in the main round at stake. He allowed 7 hits, no walks and 3 runs in 5 innings while fanning five before Sakai Phraechai took over, in a win over Sanjeewa Udayasiri Jayarathne Badde Gedara. The tall righty got two starts in the main round. Against Pakistan, he pitched an okay game (8 IP, 3 H, 5 BB, 3 K, 4 R, 2 ER) before Siraphop Nadee relieved, but was outdueled by Muhammad Usman. Getting the call against a different Muhammad, Hadi Nur Muhammad, and Indonesia, he was hit hard (2 2/3 IP, 11 H, 2 BB, 0 K, 11 R, 7 ER) before Wissaroot Sihamat relieved. He took the loss as Indonesia won its first baseball game in Asian Games history. In the main round, his 7 chances error-free on the mound led all pitchers, two ahead of Yuichiro Okano. His two starts tied for second, one behind Nanda Dwi Saputra. For the round, he led Thailand's pitchers in IP (10 2/3, 3 1/3 ahead of Nadee and Phanuwat Sukmuang) and led their qualifiers in ERA (7.59, .72 ahead of Phraechai on a team with a 13.25 ERA).
