Biographical Information[edit]
Yakary Molina has been on the Venezuelan women's national team.
She hit .368/.500/.579 with five RBI in seven games in the 2022 Women's Baseball Americas World Cup Qualifier, throwing out 4 of 5 who tried to steal. The teenager tied for 4th in RBI, tied Edith De Leija for 6th in total bases (11), tied for the walk lead and trailed only Marcela Diaz in runners gunned down (though Molina had a better percentage caught). [1] She did not play in the 2023-2024 Women's Baseball World Cup's 2023 portion but joined Venezuela for the final phase. She was 2-for-8 with 3 walks and a run and threw out 4 of 9 on the bases. Her hit off Jaida Lee saved Venezuela from being no-hit by Canada. She tied for 5th in walks and tied Diaz for the most runners caught stealing, again having a better rate than Diaz. [2]
