Biographical Information[edit]

Shortstop Yadiel Rivera was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 9th round of the 2010 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Charlie Sullivan and made his pro debut that summer.

In 2011, he was a Pioneer League Post-Season All-Star after hitting .248/.285/.406 with 8 home runs and 38 RBI in 74 games for the Helena Brewers (he hit .236/.271/.372 on the year overall, having also spent 32 games with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers). He was also named a MiLB.com Organization All-Star that year. In 2012, he was a Midwest League Mid-Season All-Star, hitting .247/.290/.402 with 12 home runs and 49 RBI in 127 games for Wisconsin. He was again named a MiLB.com Organization All-Star.
