Biographical Information[edit]
Woo-sung Lee is an outfielder.
Lee hit .214/.281/.260 with 3 runs and 3 RBI as a starter for South Korea in the 2012 World Junior Championship. The Doosan Bears took him in the 4th round of the 2013 KBO draft. He began his military service in 2014, playing for the Sangmu Phoenix in this time. He hit .337/.444/.522 in the Korean Futures League in 2015 and was 4th with 21 doubles.
In the 2015 Asian Championship, he started in left field for the South Korean national team and was a star, going 9 for 13 with a walk, 3 runs and 7 RBI. He led the event in average and led the team in hits and RBI (both by one over Soo-haeng Jo). For the event, only Chih-Chieh Su had more RBI (8) and only Chuang Na had as many hits. In the game against defending champion Japan, he singled off Hitoshi Kondo to lead off the bottom of the 9th with a 1-0 deficit, then scored the tying run on Ju-suk Ha's game-winning homer two outs later.
Through 2015, he had not yet played in the Korea Baseball Organization.
