Willie Bosque

From BR Bullpen

Willie Bosque played second base sparingly at the University of Miami. He tore his shoulder after his freshman year, ending his playing career. He was assistant coach then head coach of Tennessee Wesleyan College as well as associate scout for the San Diego Padres. He was head coach at Wheaton Academy from 2007-2010, then resigned to become a full-time Padres scout. In the 2011 amateur draft, Bosque was responsible for scouting San Diego's first two picks, Cory Spangenberg and Michael Kelly as well as Kevin Quackenbush. The next year, he scouted first-rounder Walker Weickel. He also signed Ronnie Richardson.
