Biographical Information[edit]
Wilfrido Laureano pitched six seasons in the minor leagues.
Laureano spent his first three summers in the Dominican Summer League. In 2004, he was 0-1 with a save and a 3.34 ERA for the AZL Brewers. During 2005, he had a 3.29 ERA and no-decisions for the Helena Brewers with 36 K in 27 1/3 IP. He pitched the final two innings of a combined no-hitter against the Billings Mustangs, the first no-hitter in franchise annals; he followed Simon Beresford, David Welch and Richard Breshears. He opened 2006 with the West Virginia Power (3-2, Sv, 4.10, 62 K, 36 BB in 63 2/3 IP) then was dealt to the Philadelphia Phillies for David Bell. He was 3-1 with a 4.09 ERA in 7 games for the Lakewood BlueClaws to end his career.
