Biographical Information[edit]

Richard Breshears pitched two seasons in the minors.

Breshears was picked by the Seattle Mariners in the 27th round of the 2003 amateur draft. He was 1-2 with a save and a 4.55 ERA in 12 games (one start) for the 2004 AZL Brewers. In '05, he went 1-2 with 3 saves and a 4.50 ERA for the Helena Brewers though he did fan 21 in 16 innings. He pitched 2 1/3 innings of a combined no-hitter August 5 against the Billings Mustangs; he teamed with Simon Beresford, David Welch and Wilfrido Laureano. It was the first no-hitter in franchise history. He finished his pro career 2-4 with 4 saves and a 4.53 ERA in 24 games (one start), with 49 strikeouts, 21 walks and 43 hits in 45 2/3 IP.
