Team History[edit]
The Wild Health Genomes, also sometimes called the Kentucky Wild Health Genomes were an Atlantic League team created in 2022 in order to give the circuit an even number of teams - 10 - following the admission of the Staten Island FerryHawks. They shared playing facilities with the Lexington Legends of the same circuit and took their name from that of their home ballpark, which was itself derived from a corporate sponsor. Given that they had a home ballpark, they were not truly a road team, although they shared many characteristics with such teams, such as having very little associated marketing, and clearly having only a temporary existence. In 2023, they were replaced by the Spire City Ghost Hounds based in Frederick, MD.
