Biographical Information[edit]
Warren Bogle was the first big leaguer from the University of Miami, AKA The U. He pitched 16 games for the Oakland A's in 1968 at age 21. It was a young team; he was the same age as Rollie Fingers, and a year younger than Catfish Hunter, Reggie Jackson and Rick Monday. Tony LaRussa and Rene Lachemann were two years older and trying to make the team.
