Biographical Information[edit]
Walter Widmayer played several seasons in the minors in the New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Washington Senators organizations. In 1955, he spent a couple of days as temporary manager of the Waycross Bears of the Georgia-Florida League, replacing James Deery. He went on to a long career as a scout for the Milwaukee Braves (1956?-1959), Philadelphia Phillies (1960-1963), and Chicago White Sox (1964-??).
