Biographical Information[edit]
James Deery led the Three-I League with 103 runs for the Terre Haute Phillies in 1951 despite hitting only .222. His 126 walks also led the league by 22. A second baseman, he played from 1948 to 1957, hitting .265 with 184 doubles, 59 triples and 20 home runs in 1,092 games. He had 1,089 hits.
