Biographical Information[edit]

First baseman Viosergy Rosa began his professional career in 2010.

He was taken by the Florida Marlins in the 29th round of the 2010 amateur draft, a couple picks ahead of pitcher Marco Gonzales.

After a handful of ho-hum seasons to start his professional career, Rosa has a breakout campaign in 2013, hitting .252/.362/.452 with 23 home runs, 69 RBI and 74 walks in 133 games for the Greensboro Grasshoppers. He followed that with a .292/.365/.442 line, 15 home runs, 92 RBI, 136 game season split between the Jupiter Hammerheads and Jacksonville Suns in 2014.

He was named a Mid-Season All-Star in 2012 and 2013, a MiLB.com Organization All-Star in 2013 and 2014, a Post-Season All-Star in 2014 and a Championship Series Most Valuable Player in 2014.
